Which a500 card

Hello all.
I have been following the TF project for a while now, its great to see these new amiga cards!
I have just received one of the new checkmate cases and I am building a system around an a500+ motherboard. I was hoping to use one of the TF5XX 030 accelerators in it. I was planning to have a short run of approx 20cm from the IDE header to the CF slot in the back of the case. Which TF accelerators would be recommended in this set up? I understand from the forums that TF534 and TF520 are obsolete, so should I go with an TF530? Will the IDE cable run be problematic?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Regards

Tf530 is obsolete.
TF534 is just made obsolete
TF536 is on hold just now (hopefully not forever)
So really you don't have much choice.
Ps. I am in the same place. Debating if I should build TF534 or "risk" and wait for TF536

Yeah, the 534 is the only feasible TF option for the 500 right now, but note that Stephen does not recommend it.
Matzes
68030tk combined with
68030-RAM-IDE might be another option, but I have no experience with it.

I have read experience of people who built this card combo (ppa.pl form). Idea is great, but has some build issues, connector between boards in many cases is source of instability etc.

As the card is open source it should be possible to merge the two boards into one... But I still like the idea of the TF536 more.

I'm finding the TF534 a lovely stable card with a full 030/50 cpu in it.
I am obviously interested in the TF536, but there is no good reason to dismiss the TF534 as a non runner in my eyes.

Yeah, I have 1,5 TF534's built and a third one to build as well. But one should be aware that there probably won't be any more firmware revisions on it. Unless someone picks up the torch.

I’ll backport obvious fails and I’ll accept pull requests. But it’s not under active development.

The 534 runs great on the A500, just cap it at 40 MHz. The problem of course is the people that want to run it on the A2000 with millions of different expansion cards.

Are you overclocking a 40MHz and having issues at 50MHz, as I dont have any issues at 50Mhz?
