Some people seem to think I love every single Atari ST. (It's hard not too!)
Well, I don't. There are some stinkers out there and I think you might be shocked by one or two I picked ;)

I hate xenon, because I only ever once got off level 1 :lol:

I think lemmings in some respects is a great game, but I mostly get stuck after a few levels anyway :roll:

I don't like super Huey, I could never get the thing to take off, and I never liked Hunter either as it was just running around everywhere and that was it to happen :lol:

Lemmings also felt like a lame port to me but Xenon?? Come on mate, surely not!!
Then again, I never got off "sector one". Not back in the day anyhow, only did it once or maybe twice the other year. Didn't cheat, honest.

Xenon is a iconic game for sure, great game, but I still hate it as I never got off level 1 :lol: Pretty much like any other game :lol: :roll:

what was wrong with Lemmings? I loved that game and spent a lot of time with it.

That's a very good question, maybe they chopped a few frames out of it to save space?

I mean it's quite a big picture, i'm assuming they used frames and not doing some zoom trickery on 1 picture since it's all a animation?

Edit: Watch the whole animation the ST one looks a bit laggy, is that because of a crap capture and YouTube, I don't remember it being that bad?

720k vs 880k sounds reasonable

Maybe for a bit of fun compare the 3 versions PC, Amiga, ST, im sure there was a Mac version anyhow, compare the disk images see how big the files are and stuff like that, might provide a answer, I can't see there being a lot of differanec between the Amiga & ST versions, I assume it would have been a straight port anyhow.

Wikipedia says it was a Amiga 1st then ported out to everything else and anything else :lol:

Oh how many times I've gone to wiki for various gaming info only to be told that the game I'm playing on my ST only came out on machines like the Amiga /etc/etc lol

It's sad if Psygnosis kept to the bog-standard 720kb disk rather than using 10 sectors. There's no excuses. But then again, they usually always cut corners for the ST. Never liked 'em! :x
