Hi, i have a megafile 30 and i'm thinking about the possibility to equip it with a newest hard drive and not a rll one, what do you think? might it work?

A bit before my time, but AFAIK ,The best chance that I know of is finding a SCSI '1' 50 pin drive, less than 1GB. Thats the oldest kind of SCSI drive. such drives *might* be compatible with your controller/interface.

Though I would suggest getting , or at least trying to the demo of a modern HD driver https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... ?f=25&t=31

Well, but wouldn't it be possible to connect a more recent scsi hd by using an adapter?

You could, but I think newer drives wouldn't be supported by the interface.

On the Megafile 30 you're stuck with RLL/MFM drives. Megafile 44 (SyQuest) can use SCSI drives.
