Would anyone be interested if I put together a basic parts "kit" for this ? I'm going to have to order all the parts myself anyway.. I probably have a lot of the parts already thinking about it.. just depends how many I have and how many I need to order of things..

Yeah I'm lazy like that so I'm in ;)

(I guess you're thinking about all the non-ST custom chips)

Lol I'm with troed on this.

I've got an STFM and Mega board as a source of atari chips but the other parts would be really handy if they were available as a parts kit.

Yeah, I have some ST chips in my store, but low stocks now, I don't have many scrap machines to rob parts from anymore :(

Things like resistors, capacitors , TTL chips, sockets etc I can do. Connectors and custom ST chips will have to be still robbed from a donor ST.

I have a huge stack of stuff like 1K 10K resistors etc, I will have to order some parts, like the MAX232 chip, some special value resistors.. really its probably not even worth pricing a lot of the stuff up..

That sounds like a plan, whereas I have hundreds of DIL sockets, I've got nothing that would fit the MMU etc.

I've got piles of 40pin sockets.. mostly will have to order others.. might have some 68pin plccs, but not enough for kitting out several boards..

Will probably just price up the more expensive items and just throw everything else in the kit anyway.. not worth up adding up 100's of resistors etc.

Well I'm quite sure whatever you can put together will be greatly appreciated by me and the other backers.

Yeah, need to get your guys all started with building ;)

Just counted 42 1uF capacitors! more on the thing than I thought, probably have to order 500 and just split the cost over 10 kits or something.. plus other items... will figure it out :)

The sockets PLCC68 , I'm adding in the 3M ones, Their SMT sockets seem ok.. but going by the troubles I have had with sockets I think its best going for a brand I think will be ok.. I'm just mentioning it as they are like £2 a pop!

I've got most of the generic parts added, its getting around £400 order so far!

+1 for a kit.

As mentioned I can send you 15x 13pin monitor sockets to add to the kits Chris.
