Hope you make a prompt recovery.

I'm still looking forwards to the GEM font conversion. :D

Did you find anything useful in that GEM archive?

I didn't find much in the archive. I must admit that I didn't look very hard.

Hoping you feel better soon, these things can be very debilitating.

Finished off my first draft of my pair of "Winchester" images for the Apricot.

So, here's my fully loaded ACT Apricot F2: 768K RAM and 40MB of drive space.

Now I'm back from the hospital for drug infusion I've been getting the Apricot FP on the go with the new disk images.

Strangely the BIOS thinks that there is only 30MB of storage but the two 20MB drives work fine.

Got GEM working...

The only mild issue is that the Infocom adventures don't seem to be able to control the screen correctly with the ANSI codes on the FP but they work fine on the F1/F2, so you have to change the games to dumb terminal mode.

Yeah, it’s OK. The covid I had in February triggered my Crohn’s disease which had been in remission for 9 years, so I’m back on steroids and today started on immunotherapy.

On a non-computer related front, the workshop/model railway outbuilding is starting to take shape. The original contract had the building completed last Friday but as you can see from the pictures below, there's still quite a lot to do and the contractor's estimate is that it's going to be a month late. I can see this being a little bit of an underestimate actually. This is incurring me extra project management fees, however, at about £500 a week, but some of this could be offset by penalty payments by the contractor for the overrun.

At least it has a roof now so the internal pond is reducing in size...

My workbench for retro-stuff and modelling will be at the patio door end with the model railway taking up the bulk of the space.
