exxos wrote: 17 Jun 2020 17:17 I think I have asked before on here if anyone wants whats left of these boards, but no takers. Mostly the main chips and sockets will be gone.. Mostly DMA,SHIFTER, MMU,GLUE, DB19, CARTRIDGE CONNECTOR, PLCC68 sockets, 1772 etc . If someone wants to take the lot after the culling then saves me a trip to the tip ;)
May well be interested in a few..but probably not all 30 of them (unless the P&P is basically the same ;) )...maybe I can practise removing components & a bit of soldering once I've got the chips I'm after

When all that's gone it's not worth anything anymore.

True...but I'd rather not have a "Russ moment" on a working board, so plenty of practise on some scrap boards makes some sense (to me at least  )

I had a few near-misses with the first H4 & don't want to risk the same or worse on #2

The RAM is still on them, reset switch, other chips might not be worth much, but probably still £10 worth of spares on each one. They just not worth the time in removing everything.

Yeah, that's sound sensible I guess. Good if you are bit insecure of your soldering skill. A valuable skill is been able to fixing broken stuff you or others make as well. The old Atari boards can be harder to work on then newly made boards. Cleaning is another story. Old boards can be crusty/dirty/old flux stuck.

Several printouts later and I think I have the dimensional is correct this time

This does not fit on my printer bed, so it is over to @Icky to print out this slab of meat :)

@exxos - Slab fits on the Giant Panda. Just need to know what colour you want it in, I wonder?
