Completely forgot the Tandy...

It works great now with this XT CF IDE model. The CF CARD is partitioned and all I have to is installing DOS and Windows 3.1

A peek from the rear of the machine:

I consider the project finished.

Guess that due to a lack of space, the 1000EX will soon have to find a new home.

:(

Nice work :)

Shame it'll have to go to a new home, but I understand. Whoever gets it will have a nice machine.

I guess it won't be a never ending story, but I have just built something new for my Tandy:

Have to flash the EEPROM now and test if everything is all right...

Neat :)

Is it some sort of XT IDE type board?

I see it says 4 in 1 board, so what else does it add?

@rubber_jonnie

It's a 4 in 1 board as you wrote, from Rob Krenicki:

https://github.com/rkrenicki/Tandy-EX-HX-4in1

It adds the following stuff:

- RTC (I have omitted the related parts, since I already have one fitted)
- XT-IDE
- 640 KB RAM
- RS232 serial port

But the most important is it has a passthrough connector, allowing me to fit a VGA card and a sound card.

The smoke test was OK.

The 640 KB RAM is also recognised... So far so good.

Further tests tomorrow.

8-)

Nice little upgrade that :)

A lack of smoke is always a good result :)
