I think i'd like to put the RNs on the bottom... but only so they can be assembled without issue.

Yes sounds like a good idea to me if only to save time.

With all the cr*p news about its great to have a hobby to concentrate on and one which is producing so much cool stuff!
I also think it is great you have managed to fit a socket to the TF1260. Getting hold of a 060 is difficult enough let alone having to then ship it again to a builder (as per Warp1260) and have potential postage issues. All that extra hassle and then the builder will need to test the 060 on a separate board first. You don't want to hard solder it in only to find the customer has an EC!!!

After the all the TF1260 testing you guys have been doing and reports of PSUs, it was interesting to listen to Jen's Revision 2020 talk on building a better Amiga PSU:

Rather than go completely off topic and discuss building a PSU, the main take away I took was the whole measurement of 5v drop off with power and what with modern devices using 3.3v, the 5v drop off can affect the 3.3v generation and cause instabilities.
Under (Jen's) measurement the A600 PSU was better at holding 5v than the 4.5A PSU. I think I have all types + a Meanwell. I recapped my 4.5A PSUs. Jen's PSUs were all original.

At least 1 new 060 demo from Revision this year to test on the TF1260/360

There is no testing happening. The whole thing is over until Coronavirus is gone. I'm not even going into my lab at the moment.
