Never thought about that! do a one second reset time on power up reliably though ?

I have also been looking into pick and place machines...

Again these things are pretty expensive... While changing reels would be incredibly annoying... Most of the parts I use on my projects I always try to use similar values and types so I don't have to keep buying so many different parts all the time.So such a machine in my case could be loaded up with generic parts and do probably all the SMT parts I use on most projects.

Looking at the circuit (and using online calculators) it seems like the function is to keep RST low for 0.29s after the button has been released, right?

So a big enough pull down on the reset line and then setting a pin to high after a timer has run out ought to do it?

Yeah, but in order not to cause problems, the timer should keep the line low for 1 second ideally.

I’ll knock something together.

In the mix of things I have been experimenting with my own "PLCC PLUG"...
