Great work to get this booting. Nice to see the H5 evolve and merge with the ATX ST from Angel_X

Also, good to see my ISA cartridge adapter card in the photo. V1.1 without the RTC now has an official board to be used in. :D

added missing parts to the board to be able to check everything
Good that I have the 1040ST Keyboard Header…
I screwed up the Mini DIN6 footprint again :(
Got it mirrored - not only that data and clock are reversed, also VCC and GND are reversed…
My bench power supply immediately reached max. configured amps with connected PS/2-Keyboard - hopefully nothing burned…
Time for a small Mini-DIN-Adapter…

But the other tests are progressing quite well:
- Floppy: using a Gotek, but works as expected in DD mode (HD to be tested later)
- IDE: working, HDdriver sees the partitions, copying files flawlessly
- ACSI: UltraSatan Mini connected to internal IDC-Port works, also copying lots of files between IDE and ACSI. So DMA should be fine
BTW: the original ATX made intense trouble. Had to apply most of the „mandatory fixes“ to get ACSI running
The H5 basis is excellent in this regard :bravo:

Next will be connecting the Exxos Diag PCB together with my Test Harness to check the various ports (serial, LPT, MIDI, etc.)
And after building the Mini-DIN Adapter, let’s see if Eiffel is also working

That is a standard 1040 keyboard, but with special keycaps from German Company RTS

Hi,

Did some further testing:
- direct connection to VGA worked already - did my initial tests using the IDC16 port on the board. Can be directly connected to a VGA HD15 jack. This is readily available with a steel ISA bracket
- the DIN13 is also working, using the small Exxos Din13-to-VGa monitor switch PCB
- the internal RGB2HDMI port also works fine. The buffering of the shifter signals is already included in my board and the IDC16 port can be directly used to connect the RGB2HDMI. HDMI picture was a bit flickering, but I think I need to use the autoadjust of the RGb2HDMI.
- Mega ST keyboard/Mouse also works, using the RJ12 connector at the rear
- the RJ12 is placed, together with the two Joystick ports and the ACSI DP19 port on a „2nd level PCB“ mounted with standoffs. Connection to the board is done via flat-cables. Still need to source IDC24 connectors, so I used 24 single DuPont cables…
- this DB19 ACSI connector also works with my external UltraSatan

Finally I started checking the STGA, using one of my ET4000 cards.
Basically works - as usual, struggling with the Idek drivers to get it running properly with my picky VGA screen
The VGA card which worked best last time is installed in one of my Mega STs - needs some more tuning of the resolutions.
But: the driver at least sees the VGA card
More testing during next weekend
