The fixes to the TF1260 are done. The builders won’t be pleased to know I’ve added about 20 more caps.

I’m just waiting for some advice on via stitching around a high frequency area before submitting an order

20 more caps? but that SMT stuff is easy and i'm willing to bet its all the same value as the other stuff right?

Yes, but it seems to take forever when building one.

I guess that's because when you made the 330 and 360 they were easy and quick to build?

If you are soldering with hot air then it's just z case of a couple of extra mins but obviously with a soldering iron its going to be a pain.

Well even with the hot air its slow because I tend to tin all the pads first.

You need a stencil for that. I dont have one. Dont have an oven either. Generally not used solder paste much

I’ll add more just for you Chucky.

My last question is about some via stitching around the Clock multiplier chip..... and also I was going to use the differential clock out to keep the clock sane on its way to the CPLD.

The chip has a CLK and CLKN out... at the moment I don’t use them like this. Thoughts?
