AFAIK it is not like a dead test cart for the C64, but it will allow you to run diags on many items including the CPU and custom ICs. What would be nice to find is the additional SuperSalt diag harness (It's a bit like the one I have for the ST that plugs into the various ports and tests EVERYTHING), however I may just have to content myself with the limited tests available in just the cart itself.

This is the additional board:

And it will do tests for joystick ports, SIO and some other parts that the cart on its own won't reach. That poor board has had a hard life!

Came across this in my Atari 8 bit box, original boxed copy of The Lone Raider, a 16K Atari 8 bit game, bought by me in 1985 at Lewis's of Liverpool, even have the receipt, £15.95, which wasn't that cheap then.

This game taught me how crappy Atari cassette loading was, though it was cool in that it also had music on the cassette that would play as the game loaded.

Nice presentation, kind of reminiscent of the fancy boxes we get from the likes of Apple these days. What's inside the silver Atari boxes?

The silver Atari 'boxes' are literally just folded cardboard pieces that are there to fill the other holes 😁. They did present stuff nicely back in the day.

New toy, way better than my other glue gun, with better trigger and glue flow control than my 20 odd years old cheapo gun.

Nice to be replacing old tools with new, and only £20 from Amazon.

For anybody who's interested, this is the inside of my Mega 4:

It has one of Exxos IDE adapters with CF Adapter, Dual TOS 2.06/EmuTOS and giant selection switch And a Gotek.

I'd like to get a VGA adapter in that Megabus slot!!

Anybody who wants a nice light read at bedtime, the repair thread is here :)

@rubber_jonnie I think you need a warning before people read that linked thread... definitely not for those of a nervous disposition!

The IDE adaptor/ROM decoder solution looks good in there...I must finish mine off at some point! ;)
