Getting MicroPython up and running is simply downloading a file and dragging it to the disk icon that appears on your PC, then using an IDE called Thonny. Never tried MicroPython or the Arduino IDE though...

As usual though, time for the hobbies is limited...but my wife's eldest is coming to stay from this evening until early Jan, so there might be a bit more opportunity than up til now... ;)
I've also remembered another 3d package I used to dabble with called Imagine.
