I'm sure it will be. Interesting, that keyboard connector looks very similar to those used in the Electron.

Yes, I have just checked and it looks similar.
Always better than those flat ribbons peeling off after a certain period of time.
The problem is that once your keyboard membrane is dead, there is no alternative... You can find new membranes for AMSTRADs, AMIGAs and other but not for ACORNs. :(

A little update of the restoration.
I have received the ACIA, needed for the serial port upgrade. I am still waiting for the LT1133 chip to come.

Also made this little mod for the future battery, which will be placed in the battery compartment under the Archie:

And had some time to repair 3 traces. These 3 were a real pain to fix as all solder points were extremely corroded.

I will check them again tomorrow, clean and cover everything with the epoxy and finally fit the socket (and check a last time).
More fun to come.

I'm thankful I have an A5000 with external keyboard in that case!

Little progress, as the corroded solder points make things more difficult and time consuming...
This trace repair was long:

Back to normal slowly but surely:

I had no more strength to solder back the keyboard connector (especially after a long working day).

It should be soon over...
I have received all the needed replacement chips and performed final tracks repairs.

If time allows tomorrow, it will be epoxy overcoat's turn and sockets fitting.
So far, it looks like this:

Oh, and made an ECONET ADF10 replica meanwhile...

The main chip and two caps are still missing though but should be delivered soon.
Pins will have to be soldered too.
