I don't believe it, I've got lots of 1uf caps in electrolytic and tantalum but not ceramic :headbang: :excited:

Do the caps need to be 1uf or can I substitute another value?

Well, I'm all done, except the caps and the large plcc socket. The board has been very easy to assemble . Although I do need to find a better way to assemble headers. Any tips guys?

Here's what it looks like.

Looking forward to trying to break it with my large box of IDE devices.

Are you talking about the header pins to plug into the 68000 socket? I have a spare 68000 socket I plug the header pins in and then align the board on top. After soldering the header pins remove the socket and everything is aligned. :) :) :)

So, parts just sitting in holes, as I like to do a quick review before soldering:

Have almost everything in my slowly expanding stock, the rest is ordered, so hopefully I can get it part built this weekend, and finished off next week ready for testing :)

:cheer: Nice building guys. :cheer:

Don't forget the patches on the board - https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... =10#p18624

Also PhilC you might want to remove the last four IDE header pins the power ones (on the left) and route them from underneath it makes it easier to plug in the IDE cable and get the power out. (see link above).

It was a design flaw on my part when putting in the header. If it was the smaller 2.5" IDE header it would have been fine. Already noted this one for Trudie (I mean the production board) :)
