Hmm, I see him post quite a bit in the PiSTorm Discord channel...?

Badwolf wrote: 17 Apr 2024 10:30 Ah, yeah. Getting a PiStorm going will involve a lot of typing, I'm afraid. :(
If I can't get @Steve SD card to work, I'll have to ask someone else set it up for me. I'm only managing the forum due to voice recognition. Aside from the odd few posts like this where I can use my tablet. Me being able to use a pc is pretty much out the window these days :( Using a mouse is a bit more forgiving but I still can't do much anymore :(

@Darklord If you mean 'spoken two sentences in the last month' I guess you're about right :) But in all seriousness, since his pi-storm died on him the project is in stasis at the moment. Probably until more dev's magically appear to help, as he did say he's achieved everything he can do by himself at this point.

@Steve might it be an idea to update a backup of your card to all the latest stuff still works as good as the one you have currently?

While I can test the current one, I'll probably need to try later versions as well?

Extremely tiny text on my TV. The last line looks like it says kernel panic. So I guess it did not work.

Will try and find a few minutes tomorrow to pop down to Argos and get a SanDisk card...

Though in terms of the setup of the whole thing from scratch, couldn't a bash script just do all that stuff automatically ?! We doesn't even need anything fancy just the raw CPU to get things at least started.

Just popped down into town to get the SanDisk card. It helps when you book click and collect to have it in the right town

I actually had this issue once... and I think it's to do with /etc/fstab (which specifies hard disk mounts) I think each Pi has a unique identifier for the hardware address of the SD card, and as such, it can't find the partition (because it has the identifier for my personal Pi's disk in there)

I'm just trying to remember how I fixed it ... I googled it quickly and found some stuff

If you don't mind, I'll get back to you on this! Perhaps someone else who is seasoned with Pi's and Linux might have an idea. @Badwolf ? Perhaps. Hopefully I can remember what to do at some point, if my brain and memory starts working.
