My man cave is definitely not gender neutral.

It's in the loft room, and my wife won't go up there 'cause the stairs are too steep.

Man cave it is.

Or I suppose it could be the 16 Bits or less workshop. I quite like that.

No, I just wanted to include possible female readers ;)

My wife calls mine mancave as well. But the door is open, one (female) cat eats and sometimes sleeps there, My wife has her own cave, not sure how she calls it though ;)

Well, looks like my scope will arrive tomorrow or Wednesday, not entrirely sure who had it between 02:00 on the 23rd and today when it arrived at Yodel's depot in Hatfield, but Yodel couldn't say. Annoyingly, Hatfield is relatively close for me so going to get it would be an option if I had time.

And yes, Yodel, not my choice, but all of the couriers don't care less these days. DPD left £155's worth of air bottle on my doorstep the other day, despite it being a signed for item.

I guess I'll find out in a day or two just how they've treated it.

Thank god it's not a CRT type!

Well, finally my scope arrived and although I have only just testedit briefly, you can colour me impressed.

Though you can colour me unimpressed by the delivery time. Yodel driver was nice enough, but customer support was appalling

Pictures will follow, though I'll do separate review, and I also just bought a proper bench PSU, so I'll get some pics of that too.

H4 was in surgery yesterday:

Looks like one of the address lines is reading 0 ohms, so will double check as I think it should be 1 or 2.2k going by the troubleshooting docs. Bad joint maybe.

All the clocks checked out though, with the Shifter 16Mhz and 32mhz signals shown here.

Having a scope that will actually measure things is pretty cool :) Also, physical buttons and knobs are much better than the virtual ones my Hantek USB scope has.

Lots of other functionality too, so pretty happy with it.

@PaulJ I'm hoping to work out the problem with the address line that is showing 0 ohms this weekend, I guess there is a bad solder joint somewhere that needs a reflow. Once that is fixed I will see what's what, but all the clocks are good and I get a white screen, so there's hope right? :)

Reset seems to be good too, behaves as it should, so just go to keep working through the troubleshooting guide.

Time is my biggest enemy, as I can only do Atari stuff at the weekends. Hopefully more to reporttomorrow evening.

Ok, lines have been rechecked, and all are showing 1-2.2k, so that's fine, but I noticed something.

@exxos I didn't install the LS11, as I thought it was only required for the SMT GLUE, but I'm now wondering if I've been an idiot?

Does U2 need to be installed regardless of the type of GLUE being used? I have one on order :sigh:

LS11 is needed to enable the ROM :)

@exxos In which case I am an idiot. Hopefully it'll be here soon and I can try it again.

The phrase I'd usually use in this scenario is "Arse Biscuits"

Walks away kicking himself repeatedly. :pullhair:
