I think OPT.1 is F11
Sorry, cross post! Didn’t see that you’d replied!

@terriblefire ok, that is great Motos ran. So you have controls, gfx and sound (I guess). Pointing to a good system.
It's sounding so similar to my issue. I would go for a SRAM replacement. If you don't have the chips from your arcades it's £10 from that UK eBay seller I mentioned.
I saw that Bus message before with my issue. So I don't think you should worry about anything else being up with the PCB just yet.

Also try this disk 'Flying Shark' - I can't see any black&white 'OS' text when it loads, so I wonder if this also bypasses reading the SRAM config or some other OS.
Flying shark.zip
(and it's a great game  )

Interesting that the Master Disk doesn’t work. I’d try that again whilst powering on the machine holding down F11.

No joy there. Same error. Guess anything that uses the OS for disk access is not happy

Ok, so although I see OS text, I wrote this was a game that worked (although I used an actual disk not Gotek for this) when I had issues.
I know you tried this on physical disk, but I don't think you have had anything run yet from physical disk?

Rtype didnt work but flying shark suddenly did.
Couple of observations.
The internal 5" drives are set to drive 2 and drive 3 on their jumpers.
Is there a mapping for the CLR key to the PS2 keyboard?

On my USB adaptor I have:
CLR - NumLock
CTRL - Left Control
Opt.1 - Menu key
Opt.2 - Right CTRL
BREAK - F11
COPY - F12
UNDO - End
HELP - Win Key + 'Num -'
Reset/Reboot - CTRL + Opt.1 + Del
So for my keyboard adaptor it is Left CTRL+Menu+Del
I am not sure about your floppy cable. If it is like mine and is sending File signals to Gotek but using Internal drives just for Eject and Disk Inserted signals, then the Internal Drives should be 0 and 1.
Maybe there were external floppies connected previously as the Internals were shot? But you only need Eject and Disk Inserted signals from them.

If you have no Disk Inserted signal as your Goteks are 0 and 1 that would explain some disk behaviour I am seeing if I don't physically insert a disk.

I don't know that unit, but I see it has a Jumper 'Open for Internal' and does not look to have buttons to inject Disk Ready and Power Eject signals.
Feels like your Internal physical drives Jumpers should be 0 and 1. Then that will match the Goteks and the adaptor.
I'm assuming your also powering that adaptor.
So lower plug goes to Motherboard. Middle to physical drives (so has 2 plugs), then top multicoloured to Gotek (also 2 plugs). Oh are you also using 2 Goteks?
Without knowing about that adaptor and exactly what it is doing it is feeling like an added complication at the moment.
If you have the parts I wonder if making a DIY simple cable would help just to get reliable booting (and once done and SASI/SCSI you won't need disks/Gotek).
This is the DIY cable guide I followed:

I don't think the Pro has a switch on the back to change Internal Drive ID to 2 and 3? Maybe it is Super and onwards.
