exxos,
What found it the "pencil", "X" , "Exclamation point", and Quotes (" ") are all available on my latest post, but once I post another message, the X is gone from any previous posts.
I will see if this is the way goes after I post this message. If it does, this message once posted will be the only message with X visible.
Thank you.
Randy

The X only seems to be valid for 2 hours. I changed it to 3 days. So future posts you can edit or delete. Old posts need to be reported.
Just make your edits to your posts as needed then let me know and I will tidy up your thread.

Thank you exxos and everyone who provided recommendations and options for my RESET issue.
Well, it is solved! As exxos and everyone else advised me to so, I replaced the two 10uF 50V Reset Circuit capacitors and that did the trick!
I had a feeling it was the Reset Circuit capacitors, based on all of the info exxos and posted regarding the Reset issues with the STs, especially the STE series, it seems.
Thank you for providing your experience and expertise on this issue to help me get past it. While I have a lot of soldering experience, since I had not done any soldering for a couple of decades, I was a bit nervous about my first foray back into desoldering and resoldering taking place on a 30 year old Atari TT030 motherboard. But I practiced on a few PC motherboards and determined the technique I would use on the TT. Then I just had to take the leap and get it done. I was a lot more concerned/nervous about the desoldering. But once I was confident in a technique that worked well for me, I took on the TT and it went well, better that I had feared.
Again, thank you! Now I have a couple more to work on.

Thanks everyone!
Now, I am on to replacing broken 30-pin SIMM Sockets on my Mega STE. I also have to take a look at the MSTE PSU to determine if it needs to be recapped.
EXXOS..Since it is an auto switching PSU (between 110VAC and 240VAC), PHIHONG Switching Power Supply, Model PSM-5341, would your MSTE/TT PSU Recap Kit be compatible with my PSU?[/b]
Thank again, everyone.
Randy

@MacTech05 The MegaSTE and TT PSU are exactly the same. Just whatever you do, do NOT put a low-speed fan replacement in (or if you do, run it at the fastest speed)
