Yay indeed :)

And considering the low quality of my video/audio lash up, I'm really quite shocked how decent the video is.

The Saturn really is a nicely made console, just a shame it was never as popular as it should have been. What games are you getting for it RJ?

It certainly seems very nicely put together and pretty sturdy. Nice to have the Mega Drive, Saturn and Dreamcast together.

I have Firestorm: Thunderhawk 2 coming, and I'm looking at Daytona USA and Quake, may take a look at Virtua Fighter too.

I think the backup battery is dead though, so need to drop in a new one.

EDIT: Shut The Front Door!!! There is a Die Hard Trilogy, possibly a must have so close to christmas, what with Die Hard being a Christmas movie and all!!

@rubber_jonnie That battery will take you all of five seconds to do, it's a CR2032 IIRC.

The mod chips are about £25 on Aliexpress and I have one of these too which makes things even better

I found it last night in through the little hatch on the back, and have a few CR2032's to hand, so will do it today.

If you really want to "mod" your saturn you could fit a region free BIOS? That was the hardest thing I've ever soldered. Oh for hot air!

I'm not sure you need region free BIOS anymore? But I don't know how many hoops you have to jump through for region free via cartridge.

I also fitted a 50Hz/60Hz switch to mine, simple metal switch.

That Cartridge I've linked to does the region free bit too and is pretty simple to fit :)

Yep, I'm pretty happy TBH :) It cost just under £50 including postage. Just playing some CDs in the background on it, all good.
