All the passives are on the bottom of the board for 2 reasons.

1. Every possible component i can get on the bottom I can get pre-assembled.
2. You can get the components closer to the power pins of the larger chips that way and improve the effectiveness of them.

It looks like there are no passives but there are about 90 on the board.
Thank you for the explanation, Stephen. I weep that I will never have the opportunity to assemble one myself...

Without sounding stupid, is it possible to buy a TF1260 with or without cpu?

I have a spare Rev 5 060 that I’ve been holding onto with hopes that that the tf1260 would be released.

@Todd TF's comment from mid Jan when updating us on what he was up to, included:

'Please don't ask for one as refusal often offends.'

Seems some good guys already revealed themselves, hehe.

I am, personally, totlly impressed by the thin soldering... :o I can only imagine that requires microscope for assembly! :geek:

Congratulation for this masterpiece, boss. :bravo:

ok, so a set of 3.1 roms programmed into a pair of chris morley's excellent boobip 27c400 emuroms and my TF1260 is up and running nicely :)

80mhz passive and not a problem so far :) time to pop a heatsink and fan onto it and see how far she'll go

Thanks to Chucky for vouching for me, thanks to Mark for making up the board, and many thanks indeed to Stephen for this excellent bit of kit.
