@Cosmic Puppet I sent you a youtube video on how to do this earlier, you need to watch it again it shows you exactly what to do. You're not typing in the name of the image you want to save or anything, everything is in that video I sent

Here it is again:

Where's he getting that .img file from though? That's the missing piece.

Wish I could just rub a lamp and get Genie do it.

Back and about to try it now.

Either I'm still doing it wrong or I need another version. Is yours version 1.0 @rubber_jonnie

I've done a vid 'cause I'm terrible at explaining meself.

You need to do as I instructed earlier or as per the vid Steve sent you. If you don't specify the output file, you can't do anything.

The version of Win32DiskImager doesn't really matter as they all work the same, but mine is also 1.0.

He isn't getting the image file from anywhere, he is specifying the name of the file he wants to create. If you don't specify the name, you cant read the SD card and send it to an image.

Hi. I don't understand how to get the .img file he's pulling up.

It's working. I'm sorry guys! I struggle with basics for some reason and had misunderstood the whole thing in a way that's bewildering to any normal thinking person.

Now I know that I type a name and the program creates the .img extension. I thought I needed a file with the .img extension.

Tone.

Ha, unfortunately it's my life we're laughing at.

Just screwed it up again by not adding .img at the end of the name. Guess I might be able to add the extension afterwards but I've just restarted the process and it now has the thumbnail it gets when the computer thinks it's an image file for XnView.

I'm going to make a short video for 'Special people'

This file that I've arrowed is what caused my confusion. I thought I needed to have that already. It's obviously from a previous backup.

Not so obvious to me at the time.
