Hi guys,
just want to chime in and report - im also have massive problems on my CD32,
actually none of TF330 cards i've built isn't working (rev.1, rev.2 and rev.3)
theis problem pops up as soon i try to scan Fastram: screen get's corrupted

Have tried till now:
3 different TF330 cards (different rev's)
2 different risers (1x built by Supaduper, 1x my own)
2 different PSU's
CD32 just quits as soon as i start RAM scan, until then it works, if i test IDE - LED stay's on permanently

Sometimes my CD32 goes crazy and starts to switch between PAL and NTSC output, this happens ONLY if TF330 is inserted, runs nice and smooth without...Steve sent me also one TF328 i think i will build it now.. Can someone tell me the cheap and reliable RAM source for it?

I’ve never seen anything like that. If I had to guess the 020 isn’t getting disabled. Did you check if it gets hot like I asked?

EDIT: can we check which motherboard revs are problematic. I have 3 CD32 rev 3 boards. All work fine

Ok I’m gonna get you to post me the rev 3 and I’ll take a look.

Nils has sent me his CD32 so I'll take a look at that aslo.

I see the 50/60Hz switching issue on my unit too when the TF330 is plugged in. I am going to replace the Akiko as I've traced every single address line and can't find an issue. I tried to see if BFE001 vs BFD000 address area would give me any clues, but nothing. I can't believe just this section of Akiko would be bad, but I guess stranger things have happened. I'd get it if the IO was brought out and something was plugged into PRA/PRB incorrectly, but this is impossible.

I’d be very surprised if it was Akiko itself. The 50/60 hz issue tends to happen when the cpu runs away and crashes. I think all three are different issues.

EDIT: I’d really recommend we figure out what’s happening before swapping components.

I just tried manually starting the timers with the memory editor. CIA-A's work as expected. Writing to the CIA-B memory area yield no results (e.g. writing 1 to BFDE00 or BFDF00 returns 0 in that area and the timer doesn't start).
