I highlighted the trace you was questioning... I think your not seeing exactly where the traces go and its resulting in the confusion.Bikerbob wrote: 19 Sep 2019 20:47 Sorry Chris, I dont understand just 2 pictures? So your saying there is only the one trace that goes to the Via to the other side.. thats it?
I don't know which vias your referring to.. I highlighted the ones you mention anyway.. its better just to look at the images to see where things go.Bikerbob wrote: 19 Sep 2019 21:52 So then as I said.. just the one trace that goes to the via to the other side of the board to the ROM?
It's a TOS 2.06 misbehaviour issue that I knew eons ago, but had forgotten before installing the TOS switcher in the STe I picked up. Without a floppy connected, it'll do the RAM test, but then four bombs instead of move on to the desktop. Unrelated to the TOS switcher.Bikerbob wrote: 19 Sep 2019 18:21 Are you saying that if the TOS switcher is in.. and there is no floppy connected to the cable that there would be boot issues?? but not at the point I am at correct??
you would get a screen etc??
Because I dont have a floppy connected in testing this.
