Ahh yes, I remember now. Do you think you'll have a go at fixing? Took me a fair while to do mine, and it still has damaged traces under an unpopulated socket. It's for the co processor IIRC and since they are vey expensive and not used that often, I opted to fit a socket over the top and ignore it. It's only soldered at the corners though, so a repair is still feasible.

I have left it a very long time and have probably now forgotten how to re-assemble the case / screws :-)

How can you tell if it's an Alpha?

I'll have a look at mine next time I have it open, which may be soon as I am considering adding another 1GB drive image to my BlueSCSI and want to back up the card I have in there at the moment.

Wow. Riscos is a weird OS IMHO.

Trying to get anything working requires a degree in nuclear physics, and an encyclopaedic knowledge of the file system to find anything.

I might have got networking running, but wow I've yet to do anything but ping other machines, and even something as simple as FTP is fighting me.
