I bought my TF1260 from supaduper recently. I had the intention of using it with an MC68LC060RC66 I had coming from funkward-tech in China. Before that arrived I saw a rev. 6 MC68060RC50 for a (relatively) good price, so obviously I bit the bullet and it arrived the day before my TF1260 did. :mrgreen:

I’ve made myself a custom 1MB 3.2 ROM with icon.library, workbench.library and ehide.library built-in. I’m able to boot from a CF card attached to the IDE port on the TF1260 with no issues. The CPU is stable at 75MHz with no cooling. It seems fine at 80MHz too, although I’ve yet to perform any real stress testing. I’ve added a small 12V blower which passes air over the top of the CPU. The underside of the keyboard seems to do a decent job of funnelling the air across the card. I can feel mildly warm air coming out if the top vent on the right hand side, out through the floppy slot, which is now populated with a Gotek, and through the small vent on the front underside.

I have my spare LC060 too, which arrived a couple of days later. It will be going into another TF1260 at a later date.

The above picture with the blower fan blowing air over the CPLD's and CPU is how I have my set up running, and I have a Rev 5 CPU stable at 75mhz. I have added heat sinks to both CPLD's and a half heatsink to the upper half of the CPU (place it on the bottom half and it will contact the keyboard and prevent you from closing the case).

Works great! I love it!!

Currently toying with the idea of heatsinks myself; I was thinking of something similar! I have a load of Raspberry Pi heatsinks, which might do for the CPLDs. Not sure what to use for the 68060 yet.

Gosh. I am resisting the urge for a Rev 6 060. I don't really "need" it VS the LC060. The Rev 4 I have is stable to 63 Mhz. What do you guys consider a "good price" for Rev 6 060?

Here is a 40x40x4 copper heat sink on mine. There is just a slight bit of interference with the keyboard when the trap door is closed and the board is pushed up. I need to cut 1-2 rows off and it should be perfect.

... there is no good Rev6 prices.

Anything under £200 for a rev 6 is too good to be true.

Even Rev 1s are getting silly priced. Everytime I casually search for Rev 6s I see prices over £300 and generally no way of knowing you're getting the real thing.

Staying with my LC for now.

True, and I will one day if I can ever afford it.
Never thought I'd own a 060 accelerator but it has happened so I won't say never to a full cpu. :)

If you need a heatsink - Element14 stock number 1373294. Perfect fit on 060, 10mm high, self-adhesive.
