If no-one else wants them, then I will support you by taking one set of boards.

Give other interested parties a set in preference to me though (I doubt I will be able to build anything this year due to lack of time & money).

If I do get a set (and it's ok with @Steve ) then it might be easier to ship two sets to him & I'll sort out getting my set from him (maybe at CL 3 or 4...).

Wish I could offer more support to you all on this fine endeavour!

@agranlund Do you have any tips on where to source SST39LF401C-55-4C-EKE-T for the ROM without buying in multiples of 1000?

Also could not find them so build the other version. Later I saw that aliexpress has them:

You’re better off building the 4xPLCC ROM SIMM.The parts are easier to get, and it holds twice as much data.

Wow! mouser had tons of those in stock when I ordered, and very few of the other variants so I picked that one.
But you should be able to use any SST39LFx0xC-55

The only difference between x01C and x02C is where the (optional) write protected "bootblock" part is located.
This feature is disabled by the Simm module anyway so it shouldn't matter which one you pick.
So basically SST39LF402C-55 should work just as well but I see they are also out of stock at mouser..

The larger one such as SST39LF801C / SST39LF802C will work too and it looks like mouser has at least the SST39LF802C-55-4C-EKE in stock.

As a side note, all pins are actually connected to support up to the 32Mbit model for a total of 8MB ROM but I think only the 70ns versions come in those sizes.
VF1601C/VF1602C and VF3201C/VF3202C definitely exist but as far as I can see all VF's are 70ns so will not work as it is now.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to change the cpld firmware to assume 70ns rom access so that either could be used.

I'm toying with some case badge options. The idea is to 3D print it with the base in one colour and then switch to black filament when printing the text.

With or without the Atari logo?

Personally, I like the one with the Atari logo. But that's just me... :)
