Aussie summer is pretty good for retrobright. I just drop it outside on a 30+ day. Not chemicals. It works, but slower. Once I dropped an STE case in the dishwasher and it came out grey. Don't ask me why..... and don't tell the missus.

That'd be the "salt" having reducing chemicals in it and the plastic being taken up to 60C, which is the optimum for the process.
