I've been away for a 5 day business trip abroad only to discover that our fellow member @rubber_jonnie got two retro machines meanwhile...
:D
I just can't help myself.

@HigashiJun
@stephen_usher was correct, I just got a TRS-80 Color Computer...
Personally I blame
@Icky for sending me some Coco books :)
Also, weirdly I'm having some 'scope fun and games, found out trying to look at the test points on the MZ-700 at lunchtime.
This pic covers both scopes, my Owon unit and my Hantek USB device that I use when I need extra channels:

Both the yellow traces are showing a 50Hz signal, and even swapping the probes doesn't make a difference. It's worse if I have the clip tips fitted. They've never done this before, and at first I thought 'Is this the MZ-700?', but I still get it even unplugged and moved away. It's driving me mad as I have unplugged everything that it could be and everything else is turned off.
Need to play hunt the dodgy electrical device now...
And no, it isn't the micro TV, that's unplugged.

@rubber_jonnie my desk magnifier interferes with the Scope signals, I need to take it to bits and work out why but just never get round to it.
Have you checked your Scope leads? recalibrated them with the test signal?

Yeah, my first step was to switch everything nearby off and calibrate the probes using the test signals, but no change. My magnifier light was playing up a bit, but that cleared when I turned it off.
This is with all my normal stuff running. Meh!

OK, so it looks like the PSU for my old Macbook Pro that I use on my workbench is mostly responsible. Will need to see if I still have a spare and if it's as bad.

I don't, no. I don't feel compelled to get one either, at least not like some other machines.

Yeah, same here...
I cannot explain why, but I'm more attracted to some machines than others.
