Hey guys, sorry for the radio silence - life has been pretty busy lately. So the production run arrived and I put them into a keyboard and they *mostly* worked but the design needed some changes because the domes didn’t always pop back up. Guess I should’ve tested the samples more, but (expensive) lesson learned. They felt absolutely great though - I definitely hugely prefer them to the TT Touch domes as well as most keyboards I’ve used in general.

I’ve revised the design and have another sample run in production and am going to very heavily test them this time before ordering a full run. The samples should be here in a few weeks and I’ll let everyone know how it goes.

Thanks for being patient - it’s a labor of love that I’m finding I have little time for lately

Great work @DominoTree, sorry to hear you wasted money on a batch.

If you want some wider testing, I'd be happy to take a couple of domes and maybe just replace backspace and enter (or similar) so they get a good work out.

Sorry to bump, but was hoping there had been some progress as I'd really like to get a set of improved keyboard domes for my STE.

How did you get on with the 2nd set of test domes?

Any updates? Need to replace a bunch of domes and would love to use these.

I stumbled across someone selling TT-Touch caps on ebay the other day. I was tempted but don't have the time.

I don't know whether this is related or not, or at least I hope not - but it seems in the last year or so (in *exactly* the same timeframe @DominoTree has been working on these new domes) Best electronics have replaced their original 'TT Touch' with a new 2nd-generation design! - all details here:

You will notice similarities with DominoTree's design, not only in the final design but even in the 'odd' shaped failed design he produced:

Now I posit the conspiracy theory: BEST 'bought' Domino out of the market, so he went silent!!! The test results and final results are too similar to be ignored!

The robber-dome business did the dirty on Domino and sold the designs to BEST (Maybe because Domino stopped talking to them or something)

@frank.lukas was talking about adding rubber rings to the existing domes. I don't know how it panned out.
