Jon, I hope the vicious soldering iron that attacked previously is safely stored away in storage. At least there's no need to be looking over your shoulder for that pesky iron. :dizzy:
Yep, iron is packed away and in storage, so no pics of crispy fingers for at least 3 months, unless of course I burn myself cooking!

Better watch out in case he's shipped his cat and that iron to your address...

PaulJ wrote: 25 Mar 2021 21:50 @JezC , Na, I'd never pick on @rubber_jonnie ... I'm just happy that he's going to get a reprieve from that dasterdly iron. Not sure but he may have found it a new home.

I'm not sure you were around when we were building the remake. Rj was lagging behind and experienced a vicious iron attack which set his efforts behind even more. There was a user "Russ" who was a marketing consultant advising @exxos on matters concerning Harries marketing... got so pissed when the iron attacked Rj he took his iron and burned all the traces off his STE around the proms. Those were the days.

Oh, the good old days of Russ! I also saw a lot of his posts on FB too, it all got quite interesting/weird at one point.

I agree... I think Russ took Exxos to the brink!!

Woo hoo, they are putting the roof on our house now!!

Looks like our moving in date of June might just be feasible.

Well, so it seems that I wasn't quiet for very long.

Since we moved into the temporary digs I have bought:
  1. A dead BBC Model B, now back up and running. Interesting and took a while to fix, but learned a lot about the BBC B.
  2. A working BBC Model B is really nice condition. I justify buying this one because I needed a working reference for the broken one :)
  3. An Acorn Electron. Still dead but WIP. I've at least fixed the power board.
  4. An Amstrad NC100. Dead when I got it, but now fixed too.
Not bad going for 12 weeks!!

On a positive note, our house now has a kitchen and is mostly decorated :)

Fingers crossed we'll be in by the end of June or 1st week in July.

I'll keep my fingers firmly crossed... well, other than when I'm testing old computers anyway.

Thanks. We'll hopefully have a better idea on Tuesday when the CML certificate is supposed to be done. They are working 7 days a week on our plot and the one next door, so really am hoping it all gets done as expected.
