Wattage is a bit low for soldering... That's a smt rework station..

So, I FINALLY managed to remove all parts from my donor ST. At least, the ones I need for the remake ;)
But djeez was it hard. Especially the last 68B50, I think it took my literally 2 hours to get it off. And I broke two legs (the slim end) in the process :oops:
Yes, I used a very good solder sucker, flux, wick. For some chips I had to repeat like 20 times before finally being able to get it off. Maybe this ST was assembled with magic glue or something :?
Anyway, I've got the parts now. But hopefully I didn't fry any of them, since I had so much work getting them off of the pcb.
By the way, those broken pins, I'll just stick a lead in the socket and then solder it to the remains of the pin on the chip.

I might have fried it during desoldering. I have no proof but I'm just not sure it still works.
Well, I'm not looking forward to desoldering anything for a while so I'd rather have it sit in a socket ;)
