Btw, if I do zero fill on the same test it passes ok but its writing at a slower speed.

So maybe a different problem as looking at your pics when you tested the card, it also failed on zero fill.

But that isn't a benchmark test, its a diagnostics test to see if the card fails RW tests...

Sorry, didnt read the question properly, :roll:

I tried both benchmark tests and all 4 cards give me about 20MB/s on the trend.

This is yours.. it just fails any sort of write test. Its also manages to not boot on the IDE board...

This is the only CF which behaves like this... Think its just junk from China, stuff just doesn't work right..

BTW, that last card I believe was a Toshiba one.

Incidentally, I chose to try the cheap Chinese cards deliberately.
Whilst I am 100% confident that you guys have a great working IDE interface for the good quality components, for instance with Seagate, Toshiba etc., Joe public is quite likely to buy the cheap and cheerful IDE devices from the likes of Ebay and Aliexpress, which so far look like they work with windows but probably don't comply correctly with the CF specs.

I've also got a couple of other IDE to CF adaptors arriving soon, maybe these cards will work with them?

For long term use, I'll be using my Sandisk SD cards and better quality CF cards. I prefer the format of CF cards when fitting them internally.

Ok, so I'm back on track again, with my 1MB CO70789 repaired, and the IDE board plugged in.

So far I seem to be able to 'see' a 6.4GB Fujitsu MH2064 6.4GB laptop hard drive (Currently formatting) and the two CF cards below:
Though as of this afternoon I haven't been able to install boot drivers and boot from HDD, though if booting from floppy all seems well.

Drivers tested so far are AHDI and CBDH, and they seem to work fine. I have also tried PPs driver and ICD Pro, but they don't seem to play nicely. PPs driver is meant for Ultrasatan, ICD Pro for ACSI, so to be fair, I'm not really surprised they didnt' work.

I don't have HDDRIVER, since it's a bit expensive to buy just for testing, however I will probably test it with the demo version tomorrow evening.

Once I get straight with my process and know what's what re formatting/partitioning, then I should be able to try some of the other devices I have lying around.

You need tos206 and the wire connected to the DMA port pin 10 to boot from ide....
