And it's now in Bahrain... So maybe it will arrive early next week.

Yeah, it's got to evade Trump's war.

Yeah, it's got to evade Trump's war.
Trump would probably see it as contraband electronics and send an F35 to take it out.
He's not the brightest of people...

Bahrain and Iran both end in the letter 'n' and he's already confused Iran and Japan, so anything's possible.

Whilst waiting for the "new" machine to arrive I've been doing a couple of things. Firstly tuning the black Microvitec CUB using the information in the service manual.

Finding where I was supposed to measure on the head board was interesting as the manual leaves that out. Anyway, all the voltages on the colour black levels and on the gain controls were set as per the manual and it did make the display look a lot better. I used the battery powered Owon as I was a bit wary of using the mains powered (and earth wire referenced) Tektronix.

Today I've been making a SCART cable for the machine in transit. I used a razor saw which is about 4 years older than the machine to cut down the edge connector to the right length, which made it easy. I used a spare cut-off end of a SCART cable I'd butchered for another machine, so nothing wasted. Lots of shrink tubing also used. :-)

Oh... New e-mail, the machine has passed customs clearance and is at East Midlands Airport, so *MAY* be with me tomorrow.

And now it's apparently in Swindon, so there's a chance of it being out for delivery today.
P.S. It's out in a van!
