It certainly is, it's probably my biggest trace repair to date, the previous one being my Amstrad Alt-386 shown here:

The reason for those repairs being a single leaky capacitor. Brought it back to life, but was able to follow the tracks on the PCB, which was handy as I didn't have a very good schematic. Bloody awkward to work on too as quite small components.
Looking forward to seeing it in your hands an running.

The good news is that the STE is back home, looking forward to seeing it up and running again in its natural habitat. :)

Hi All,
Sorry it's been a while to get these photos up. Had some personal issues I had to take care of before I could do anything.
Been thoroughly tested on both 1.62 and 2.06 and no problems at all. Only thing I've found I have to do when turning the machine on I have to press the reset button for it to jump into life. Not a big deal really.
But anyway, here's some pics of the machine back in its case and stuff being loaded.
I'd like to thank Jon for his hard work in getting this machine working again and thanks for everyone that got involved with the thread.
Forgive the black tape on the gotek screen thing on top of the STE. I've not yet found a way of attaching it to the top securely.

Maybe the next thing on my list for this machine is a USB mouse upgrade from the original STM1 mouse.
This will take pride of place now on the desk outside of my office with my other retro machines.
