I actually finished attaching the CPLD yesterday arvo and was going to flash the card today and test it out. Glad I read the previous posts or I would have been scratching my head and looking for mystery soldering bridges for next few days

I have a TF 330 I bought of @alenppc about 18 months ago, and I still have not got to putting it into the CD32. So many projects not enough time, more likely my time management is just ordinary .

Will probably just sweat that CPLD off and use it on the 1230, I guess that warranty just went out the door

I finally built my tf1230 with components from Go0se, thanks bud!!

Though I would report some of my findings

I originally tried the 01/04 alpha from github, would not work/boot on any of my a1200 boards!!

I have double checked my soldering under my microscope every single pin!!

The tf now has the latest jed (31st Aug)

I've got a few a1200 test boards,rev 1B rev 2B and reamiga v1.5

The rev 2B: The tf1230 just works/boots with every Rom set that i have (cbm3.0,MX3.1 & 3.2 and diagrom), stable, ran demos/games/memtests for over an hour no crashes/gurus, this board has budgie rev 0

The reamiga: i cant get the tf1230 working at all with any rom sets (cbm3.0,MX3.1 & 3.2), just black screen (with sync) and no activity with any of chucky leds, that has budgie rev 1, as soon as i remove the tf it boots ok , I have tested the expansion with various card i have aca1233n and tf1260 and they works ok with3.1 roms in.
the reamiga with diagrom boot ups and brings up Illegal instruction detected see screenshot, does not find any fast ram, crashes after autoconfig detailed scanning the Zorro2 area, all other diagrom irq and cia tests are ok

The rev 1B (budgie rev 0): cbm3.0 mx3.1, 3.2 rom give yellow screen.
rev1B with diagrom boot ups and brings up Illegal instruction, does not find any fast ram, scan ok for autoconfig detailed scanning, scans ok but reports id 5080/0 z3 ram 16mb from $40000000 to $43FFFFFF) all other diagrom irq and cia tests are ok. Tried the manual memory test from $40000000 but the failed/returned to diagrom mainmenu.

Strange one this!!

Let me know if you want me to test anything else

Regards Rich

XC95144XL just ordered, should be here next week will finish the build then. Did not want to ruin Alen's emaculate soldering work ;)

No, you need the XC95144XL CPLD (the same one used on the TF330).
:?: :?:
Ordered my parts straight off the 1230 Schematic file in Eagle that file is showing a XC95288XL as the CPLD
I don't have Eagle - And KiCad seemed to be having none of it! Sorted now anyway!

No sweat what so ever, will recycle the XC95288 into a 536, I still have one PCB left over from last year, gives me a push to finish it off.

If you are keen to get underway before October, found the Commercial variant of the XC95144XL available via Element 14 (Farnell's Australian outlet, so probably available at Farnell in the UK ).
Just a narrower temperature range (0-70C off the top of the head) than the Industrial version. Just use a C at the end in place of the I. (approx. $18Aud 10 GBP)

Go0se sent me a non working setup. Finally a failure.

I swapped the roms on it for the ones i usually use and it works. ....

Need to figure out why specific roms make a difference

I swapped ROMs to 3.0 MX orginal chips, and I have this.
