Ok, so I'm back home for 1 or 2 days and here's a little update.
Since I don't want to completely remove the flaky RF shield, I made an opening for the future RTC:

It will be now easier to fit it and also replace its coin battery.
Just hope to receive all the missing bits soon so I can finish this project.

You won't regret if you manage to get one.
The machine itself does not cost so much, but the shipping fees and all the extra import/export duty fees are really prohibitive.

Well, if I can find one in the UK it would just be the shipping and fingers crossed that wouldn't be too bad, but yes, they are two killer fees for sure.
Trouble is the cheapest one on eBay is £340 and that I find excessive.

I have just realised the IC chip where I made the opening is not the BIOS chip. :headbang:
