Hi,

It seems my IP address (84.84.167.41) has been banned. I cannot unban myself according to the IP Ban check. I get the following statement:

Check Banned IP - Result

The IP address 84.84.167.41 is banned.

Your forum account is not eligible to request IP unbans.

I tried to find some info on where to request an unban of my static ip, but couldn't find anything, is I'm it this way. I'm following posts on this forum almost every day, but I haven't posted anything except an introduction message. Could you please unban me as I also have 2 PSU's from the Exxon store for which I need the installation manual on the website. My forum account name is: EdeVee

Are you typing in your forum name exactly, it is case sensitive.. I'll take a look and see I'd there was a reason the ip was banned.. Please bare with me..

Its unbanned now. While it was flagged as banned, you was actually in the whitelisted anyway, so technically not banned.. was you unable to login or something ?

You have to be logged into the unban page with a forum account to request the IP unban on another IP.. Thats all you really need to do.. But it shouldn't stop you accessing anything as you was in the whitelist anyway..

After tracing through the logs more, the ban happened as you seem to be on a really old mac os version (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_11_1) According to grok thats 2015. I'm not familiar with mac os.

The odd thing is you say you couldn't access the site ? but on the IP you gave, it was whitelisted, so even if your banned, the ban is overridden by the whitelist anyway..

Ok nevermind, I think one of my scripts it lying to me as it said that IP was whitelisted, but when I checked manually it actually wasn't.

I have a fair collection of old Macs which I sometimes use to read the forum, so that's entirely possible :lol:. Glad to be unbanned...

Generally stuff older than about 10 years hits the firewall now. I will see if I can tweak it to 12 years or something.. then it shouldn't happen again :)

Thanks for setting the new threshold. I will stop using these old Macs to access your site to prevent a future banishment.... :D
