It will flash the same with no card as it thinks there isn't one even with one installed.

Not sure if you bought or built yours, but I built mine and had to clean the SD card reader as I had flux in it.

Might be worth sloshing some IPA through it.

quick test with a different SD card, three lights flash up and then it settles down.

I'll try and connect it up to the Falcon this afternoon and see what happens.

I bought mine built but yep will get the toothbrush out and IPA it.

I've noticed it also helps if you plug an SD card in the correct way up ...

And we're up and running!

I'd obviously done something a bit wrong as I had to re-partition the SD drive when I'd booted up the Falcon, but the drivers picked up the device on the bus straight away so that was easy enough.

Just testing it out now by copying a load of files to the IDE CF drive - no errors yet!

It's a lot easier than I expected:

1 - prepare image using Linux or Mac using this command:
dd if=/dev/zero of=HD01.hda bs=1m count=500

2 - mount this image as a SCSI drive using Hatari, and also set up a GEMDOS drive so you can copy files between the machine that Hatari is running on, this will then allow you to copy files from the physical machine and the mounted image. Use Emutos as the TOS image in Hatari, and set up the emulation as a Falcon with whatever memory and CPU options you want. I basically replicated my actual Falcon. You will need to emulate a Falcon so you can have access to the SCSI drives.

3 - Use HDDriver from the GEMDOS drive to partition the image that is mounted, I just split the image in to 4 partitions, and selected TOS and Windows compatibiity.

4 - Set the first partition to be bootable, again using HDDriver. This step is probably optional but I did it anyway and would be ideal for you as your IDE is broken. Follow the prompts from HDDriver to save partition settings etc.

5 - Reboot Hatari with same settings and when at the desktop use the Install Devices option, you should then see the four drives from the image

6 - Copy the HDDriver folders & files and anything else you want - NVDI etc. - to any of the four partitions.

7 - Copy the HDA image file to the SD card and put it in the BlueSCSI, connect power by USB.

8 - If the green LED llight flashes three times you are ready to connect to the Falcon and boot from the SCSI device - the image you created at the start refers to SCSI ID 1 which works for me.

9 - If the LED flashes 5 times then the SD card can't be read, which is what happaned to me. I usede a different SD card and that sorted it.

Hope this helps, probably forgot a few steps but when you are ready I'd be happy to walk you through the process in real time.
