I won't sale it .. I'll open source it all (me and Juliusz are in agreement on this).
We just want to release something clean that works, so we're working through the problems and once we have what could be called a 1.0 version we'll release everything
If someone wants to build them .. fine with me.

Quick update. Project is not dead !! .. and neither am I :)
My house was under renovation for the last year and half and all my stuff was in storage.. the storage container is coming back this Friday :)
And Juliusz was moving to a new place.. so a lot of "normal life stuff" got in the way this year.
We're working on a version 4 to fix a few issues.
We both have working version 3 on STE and MegaSTE, tested with 68020 at 32MHz (and even slightly higher) and 68030 at 50MHz.
I posted some benchmark a while ago : https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... f=42&t=553

Next on the list :
- finish version 4 with the XC95288XL (version 3 code is on XC94144XL).
- Add the interrupt controller code to our existing code (MFP compatible if possible).
- Deal with the MSTE 8/16 switch and 16KB cache.

Regards, Rodolphe

All good Rodolphe.

This is still the main board correct? nothing about the memory expansion has been completed? you were going to do a dimm addon board correct?

Yes just the main board.
Memory, network, video will be on add-on cards (some of witch are also mostly designed but no PCB has been made until we get a final version of the 68020 main board).

Hello there, first of all thank you for the work you're doing on this project.
It's a very interesting one and i hope it will reach to a good term.

However, i do have some questions about it.
Will the 020 give compatibility issues like the TT030 does? I mean, yes, the 020 is somehow more compatible than the 030, but i'm not sure about it.
Would we need to install some fast-rom adapter in the way Exxos STe boosters need?

Cheers!

ROM in built on the board if you look at the first image in the post...

Each CPU will add incompatibilities, I think the main issue (or one of) for the 030 is the datacache, it breaks self modifying code, the 020 doesn't have a datacache. But of course the 020 is a bit slower than the 030. But its also TOS which breaks things.. programs or games designed to run on a TOS104 machine, mostly don't like TOS206 machines, and TOS206 is needed for the 020 and 030 CPU. It has been talked about a lot in the past.. Its a pretty complicated subject.
