I know that Rust-oleum Painter's Touch Stone Grey Satin Finish is a very close match, though *very*, *very* slightly too light.

Don't forget the sealant spray on top. :-)
Not ordered yet, thanks for the advice 😁

Note to self for later, paint code of RAL7030 stone gray looks very good!
I'll be interested to see how close a match that is.
Will do sir

As an aside whilst repairing the case, I finally got round to testing the keyboard, which is incredibly robustly made.

Given the amount of damage to the case, the rest of the assembly is in really good condition and works 100% in terms of the keys.
Mouse port works, so I have no reason to believe the joystick port won't :)
Just got to finish the bloody case, which is taking a long time!!

Ok, so having had other stuff get in the way, I decided that I needed to get back to this case. Mostly now it is some tiny pieces of plastic that I don't think will ever find a home again, but I can live with that.
Overall I'm pretty pleased with it:

Next up will be a bit of fettling and filling some holes that I just don't have the parts for and a bit of light sanding to get rid of any glue runs.
Then it'll be ready for a coat of grey primer, see how it looks.

I was originally going to leave this:

But I had some pieces of a broken ST case, so I decided it was going to get fixed too, as I have a piece of plastic the same thickness.
The texture ins't the same, but it should be fine once it's painted :)

It's taken a while, but some of it has been me being patient to ensure glue and joints harden.
Looking forward to the finished article myself :)

So, quick bit of finishing off after I glued the piece on at lunchtime, and we're looking good.

Then a final shaping and sanding:

And we are looking good for a coat of primer this weekend :)
Last couple of bits are to drill a hole into a repaired standoff for a screw, and through the bottom where I repaired a shattered screw hole.
Other than that, very nearly done :)

You may need some filler in the crack if you want it to be an invisible mend.
