Only TOS 1.X works btw. I see you have a dual TOS ROM with 2.06 and 1.04. Is the jumper set for right TOS?

Tried with both TOS positions... I got a feeling one of my custom Atari chips got damaged in removal from the old board. Unfortunately I don't have any spares at all. I might need to ask one of you kind gentlemen to have a play with my board? Everything is socketed so swapping chips is no chore.

Bit of progress today with
@Steve's H5.
It now consistently boots to a garbage screen.

(Ignore the yellow its my monitor lead playing up)
I think once I connect the serial up on this then I'll get it diagnosed and up and running :D

If you carry on at this rate @PhilC your reputation for fixing things will surpass your one for breaking things :)

So the Serial port arrived the other day and is now fitted to the H5 but now I'm even more confused :lol:
I worked out that part of the problem was with the MFP and swapping that for another new one has made the H5 more consistent.
When I boot the H5 with Diagrom it gets to the main menu but looks like a bit is stuck somewhere on the serial , so I get mostly garbage on that.
When I try and boot with tos1.04 and a diagcart installed I get this via serial:
ˇ....Q. Leklqvg Bmk Ejjwj pavdtqvg..Vw 0Q.1 ejjwj....
On the screen I get:
testing MFP, glue Timing, Video
E9 Bad instruction fetch.
I think I either have a bad data line or something similar.
