Who builds a TF board and solders the CPU down! Thats insane.
Gonnae no do that!
unfortunately looks like a board built on the cheap.
Just baffles me why you'd not fit a cpu socket worth a fiver and then be able to properly test the card. If they had, I'm wlinv to bet that the cpu would have failed during testing.
@duncan.gibb as Alan says, its all about waiting for the CPUs and then testing them. Got to get a whole load more myself too.

Send it back to the seller as defective. It wasnt tested properly before being shipped.

I would suggest you the same what Stephen said,
Just open a dispute and return it to seller.
If he builds the card without socket - he should install a CPU that was tested and works as it should ..

You need to be really sure your CPU can do 50Mhz first.. like REALLY sure.

Exactly Steve, that`s why I have a 030 Test rig setup so I can quickly test batches of cpus , weed out the non runners and then fully stress test the ones that passed, only a mug will solder an untested cpu onto a board :)

@supaduper not surprised, nice addition though.
How long are you guys stress testing your cpus? My builds get around 5 to 6 hours in total.

yeah 4-6 hours hours is fine but many a time I will run for over 8 to make sure as I have spare dedicated test CD32 for nothing else but testing
