In my opinion recently at least stm32 has improved their USB peripherals to a point where it is quite usable.
With older stm32 designs (like f105 or even f4xx) only half of my HID devices did work (even hid descriptor couldn't be read correctly). But with f722 or cheaper f730 all devices do work, even dirt cheap £4 usb game controller.

Its been really great seeing you put the effort in to test all these things. And fix the places and understand the issues. Hopefully many projects on the forum can benefit.
