I'll put xcontrol back as Notator doesn't mind it and I can use it to check the time without leaving the ST.

While troubleshooting Snap it crashing Notator and trying different setups, I accidentally discovered the following:

If I run my set up using your NVDI HD Installer, I get 325559 bytes of RAM available to Notator and 2686 free in SysInfo.
If I run my set up using your NVDI Installed, I get 364483 bytes of RAM available to Notator and 2680 free in SysInfo.
It really surprised me that there's very little difference in free system RAM, yet something is making more RAM available to Notator.

You would have to check every file and size in both setups. Maybe there's a missing font file in one or something. It was never checked.

I tested a few this morning:

You can use "kill score" to free up some of the RAM used by Notator and of course if you are using SL (Soft Link) you can partition RAM for running other stuff.

Thanks. Good to know. It turned out that my main issue was being unaware of NVDI which has sped things up. I mistakenly blamed RAM for this.

I'll test the two different resulting ones, and then find out why the two with the same results are so different in size. One of them is nearly 10 MB!

It's the HFE folder containing NVDE_D1.hfe and NVDE_D2.hfe making one version massive on the disk. I have no idea what these are for but it works without. I'll have to campare things on the Atari at some point to figure out the RAM "drain".

You need to know the files installed on your C: drive on the ST.. mostly whats in the NVDI folder and others.
