There appears to be an option in AutoConfig to allow you to spec a 256Mb card space and have the OS automatically pick up the size.

I've never tried this mind you.
I tried this out on WinUAE and it correctly figured out the RAM in each instance. So this is the way we wanna go i rekon.. hook up all the address lines, set it to 256Mb and let it autodetect the ram size. Then its up to the end user to pick a chip.

Jens either as he refused to sell me a single A1200 connector.
Karma has bitten Jens. He waited too long.
EDIT: TF360 will be available as soon as the rev1 shakedown is done. Xmas 2019 basically.
EDIT2: There was a working TF360 at A34 too. ;)
Yes, but there are no 128MB TSSOP-54 chips anyway?
As about 1200 connectors - Sordan is selling them for 8.90€, that price is even better than connectors offered from Poland..
And Yes, TF360 was there, Ypu can see it @ 9:00 in this video:

But functionally I never need to adjust the Autoconfig setting again. And anyone can put it whatever chips they want in.
You missed the point with Jens. He has created a lot of bad will against him. We will buy up all the 060 rev 6s and hold them for OSHW projects only.

Maybe a little off topic, but what's the story there?

Probably a bit too far off topic. He’s not a bad buy but he was v snarky with me when I tried to order a part and there had been a reluctance to do 060 boards til now.
Possibly he’s just had a lot more of the Amiga users Gimmie Gimmie... it can wear you down.
Now it seems he might be too late as there are multiple alternatives to his board.

Thanks, was just wondering what was going on there.

OK i tested this auto detect Autoconfig setup on a real board with 128Mb of ram and brain damaged out the top address line...
It works. It always correctly detects the amount of ram in the system (at least with kick 3.1).
So this is the approach I am going to take for the TF360.
