I stumbled on this the other week on eBay for a tenner:

And the IC's looked interesting.

It has a 6802 microprocessor with clock and optional RAM (There is a single 2114 RAM IC installed there), a 6522 VIA and anICL7109CPL which is a 12bit A/D converter.

The pair of icm7218AI ICs on the LED board are LED driver ICs. Given the IC's present and the ROM I'm willing to bet this is some sort of computer.

The board seemed interesting and has interesting components and though the board needs a good clean due to some battery leakage, it has quite a few potentially useful components on board.

I suspect it may have come from a petrol pump based on the LED displays. I may try and power it on once I've given it a damn good clean. It may not work but some of the parts may be worth the price of admission.

IIRC I was searching for something specific and it showed up in the list of 'Other things you may like'...

Cool. Sometimes you get lucky like that. (The algorithm works? :o  )

The algorithm that's designed to maximise profits for eBay?

It doesn't seem to have been quite so successful with the suggestions for me in the past...

I mean the 6522 alone is likely worth the price.

True, not questioning the value of your purchase, just how poorly the eBay suggestions have been for me!

Unfortunately they are all too often bang on for me, leading to depleted funds and waits for the post to arrive...
