A for effort little computer, but you're not quite strong enough yet.
Will be interesting to compare again whenever I get around to working on memory access again
The machine is not yet doing any kind of burst so cache misses are hurting a lot more than they should.
That ISA card is not doing us any favours either of course :)

Saw the github. Need to check it out in more detail.
Do you have a full 060 now as Quake is running?

Yeah, it was lent to me for testing so I tested with Quake.

Seems to run as fast as on the PC I had when Quake first came out! :-)
That's exactly where I headed first :)
Though I couldn't find any sourcecode and following the links lead me to adding Nova to the version you shared here: https://github.com/mikrosk/quake

Oh nice. If you built it with the asm optimisations then yes, this is as fast as it gets (Patrice's versions are pure C code, very slow).
