Ok, so over lunchtime I replaced the capacitors and crystal in the clock circuit.

During the process I took the time to buzz out all of the connections to the 74S04 in and around that area and it all seems fine, with everything connected to where it should connect.

Interestingly, I tested the 10nF cap at C40as my new multimeter has that function, and it read zero. I replaced both caps and the crystal and I now see a square wave at the point where C37 is connected to the crystal, and this I didn't have before.

Still no BooBip, but it does seem different. I should have another Beeb arriving tomorrow, which should allow me to at least see what things should look like at different points.

Well, at least there is progress. Is the sound any different and do you get a clock signal now?

Seemingly yes, I need to go and plug it in and see if there is a video signal as I seem to be getting something now where I didn't before.

Unfortunately feeling quite unwell at the moment so it'll have to happen later.

Some good progress, hope you feel better soon RJ.

P.s. had my second jab on Sunday as well, better than the first but still feeling the fuzziness.

Glad you're feeling a bit better. My wife had her second jab last Saturday...mine is still 3 weeks off!

Me too - just found out that my cousin has now gone 14 weeks since his first jab & still hasn't been given a date for his next jab... :(

Oh, that's odd I got both my dates when I booked the first one.
