It's the breaking that I like. Followed by the fixing of course
Things are usually easier to fix when your the one that caused the issue. :sigh:

The best way to learn is by fixing your mistakes.
Edit:
Unless your name is Russ

Just because I could, I tested the H4 with 2 floppies tonight and all was well :)
Also, H4 now with added DOS:
H4_ATonce_DOS.jpg
Vortex ATonce 286 board running a version of DOS from a 486 machine I have lying around. Version 6.22.
I have a bunch of old DOS floppy software lying around, I guess I should try some.

Excellent...I always had to make do with PC_Ditto for any DOS activity (roughly 1/3 of the speed of an original 8088 IBM PC IIRC :roll:
Did you need to change the drive select settings on the floppys?
When I get my H4s up to a working state I'm hoping to try them with both a real HD floppy & also a Gotek (makes a mental note to find a source of 22V10s for the HD floppy "mod")...which might be a big help in sharing things with my Falcon...

@JezC
Nothing needed for the floppies, they're set up as standard just plugged in the external one and all was good. H4 floppy jumpers set up as default.
I have no doubt that a Gotek will work, and in fact I'm pretty sure one of the other builders has tested Gotek with both DD and HD operation.
Also need to source some 22V10S. Ah, and do something about the DMA patch board so I can test ACSI out.
Everything else so far seems to check out. Got to try midi too.
